I've decided to create this blog in order to show and maybe help people decide where to travel and what to visit in their future vacations. Many friends asked me to show them what I've seen in my vacations so I thought a blog is a perfect way to show.
Every time I travel somewhere I leave with an excel document on my mobile phone consisting in GPS Maps, booking for accommodation, restaurants where to eat, prices and taxes for what I visit and more.
I begin with the beautiful Greece in the summer, I traveled here in August 2014 with my husband and we stayed 3 nights in Thassos, 3 nights in Olynthos Halkidiki and 2 nights in Paralia Katerinis in order to visit Meteora Monasteries.
Day nr 1. We left our city Constanta in the morning and arrived in Thassos in the afternoon for accommodation. We reached Thassos with a Ferry of course, taken from Keramoti.
It was very relaxing with the Ferry, the air on top of the boat is filling you with vacation joy, you can feed the gulls from the sides of the boat.
We stayed at Mary Villa 1 in Skala Sotiros, a quiet place and very nice. It has a pool you can enjoy during the day.
We took a bath into the pool and then we visited Skala Sotiros in the evening.
Day nr 2. We started discovering Thassos with this map in our hands
First stop: MARBLE BEACH. This beach is GORGEOUS! Little, between high trees and the water...is..wonderful light blue..maybe it s better u see it in these pics:

Next stop: GOLDEN BEACH. Here just for a visit and a few pictures:

And we arrived at nr 3 Beach: PARADISE BEACH. Wide beach, beautiful crystal water, of course the forest at the right and left. Also, a small island far away in your view. Thassos is such a beautiful restfull island with beautiful landscapes.
We left Paradise Beach and on our way we arrived at Ioanis Beach which we saw from above, from the road.

And we arrive at St. Mihail Monastery. You can see a beautiful landscape here and also hear beautiful church music inside,

We arrive in Potos, first place more animated with many people, many shops with souvenirs, opened until late at night, you cand find night clubs here and also book a scuba diving for the next day.
Next stop, Limenaria, where we arrived in the evening. It's very nice here for a visit, you can eat, walk along the boats and also buy a souvenir, since there are a few shops here also.
Day nr 3. My husband went for a Scuba Diving. They left from Potos and here is where they stopped:
After scuba we went to Giola, a wonderful place near the sea. The water from the sea is thrown in this small hollow in the cliffs. In the day we visited it was very very hot so we couldn't take a bath, the water was bad for it, but we found an alternative, my husband as many other people jumped into the sea and swam a little.

We stayed at Hotel Olynthos
After check in, we left to visit Kassandra. As you know, Halkidiki is divided in 3: Athos, the one we saw from a cruise, from the distance, Sithonia which is kinda like Thassos with beautiful landscapes, wild beaches and Kassandra which is very animated with large beaches and 5 star Hotels and many many many shops.
We left for Kassandra and we stopped in Potidea Village to visit this beautiful church. I saw the pictures of it on the internet and I got to see it live :)
After that, we visited Nea Fokea Village for an amazing view:
We took a bath at the Kallithea Beach, a large beach with some waves that day.
After the bath, we went to Hanioti for a meal and some souvenirs.

Day nr 5. We went on a cruise on Aegean Sea in order to see the Monasteries from Athos. It stars in Ormos Panagias, from Sithonia, at local time 09.30, with a stop for a meal and walk at Ouranopolis between 13.30 and 15.30, and it ends in Ormos at 17.00. You take the Menia Maria III Boat.
We saw the Monasteries from distance listening to an audio guide describing them.
Then we stopped at the Ouranopolis where we ate and bought some souvenirs.
When we came back, the ship offered a very nice show with dancers and greek music.
Day nr 6 was about exploring Sithonia.
We started with Orange Beach or Portocali Beach, which we chose to be the best one in our lives. We adored this beach, everything about it was great, the beautiful sea, the colors of it, the snorkeling in it, the jumps from the cliffs, the views...just amazing!

Day nr 7. After 3 nights at Olynthos, we left for Paralia Katerinis where we stayed at Hotel Studios San Giorgio. Before that we stopped to visit a few places in Salonic.
First we visited the ZOO. Everywhere I travel in vacations, I search for a ZOO, I love them. This one in Salonic is pretty nice, but in summer there are many mosquitos.
After it we went in the center of Salonic for a walk
We visited the St. Dumitru Church, very big and beautiful!
And then we left for Paralia Katerinis
We stayed at the Studios San Giorgio Hotel. It has a pool , it's ok. Paralia is very animated, many many people, lots of shops and souvenirs, the beach is large. We stayed here because it's easier to reach Meteora the next day.

Day nr 9 was the day we came back home after a wonderful vacation in Greece. I can't wait to come back here in a few years, I absolutely adored it!
So, we have these costs:
Accommodation: 342 E (8nights)
Fuel: 300 E (about 3000 km)
Taxes on the road: 70 E (bulgarian vignete, ferryboat 3E/pers and car 16E, plus other taxes)
Menia Maria III Cruise on Sithonia 2 pers: 110 E
Scuba diving 1person: 45 E (Vasiliadis Diving Center Potos Thassos)
Meteora: 20 E (3E /pers each)
TOTAL: 1000 E
Always take extra,just in case!
